about me

I’m Lynsey Brennan, a qualified primary teacher living in Addlestone, Surrey.

I have over eighteen years experience, teaching all year groups from reception to year 6. With excellent knowledge of the primary National Curriculum and both KS1 assessments and KS2 SATs requirements, I am able to support your child in becoming a confident, independent learner.

I am an experienced primary teacher, most recently in year 6, dedicated to helping children achieve their potential, strengthen their self-belief, and foster a lifelong love of learning. I have also worked as a moderator for SATs and an ‘Achieving for Children Best Practice Expert’, teaching model lessons for other teachers in the borough to observe.

Being an avid reader, sharing book recommendations with the children I teach is something I am very well known for. If your child ‘doesn’t enjoy reading’, they just haven’t found the right book yet and I have a whole plethora of recommendations up my sleeve!

I am professional, dedicated and (most importantly) fun, offering tutoring sessions in phonics, reading, SPaG, writing and maths. I have a real passion and enthusiasm for teaching, with a history of excellent results.

Group Tutoring

  • Face-to-Face group tutoring at my home in Addlestone
  • A maximum of 4 children in the same year group
  • Available for children in years 1-6 in phonics, reading, SPaG, writing or maths
  • A brief individualised progress report emailed after every session

£25 per child/Hour

11+ Tutoring

  • Face-to-Face 1:1 tutoring at your home
  • Available for children working towards 11+ entrance exams in English (reading, writing and SPaG) and verbal reasoning
  • A brief progress report emailed after every session
  • Available term time & during school holidays

£54/Hour
