By using services provided by LB Home Tutoring, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions.
Timings/ Lesson Format
Tutoring sessions last 50 minutes. If I am tutoring at your home, I will arrive 5 minutes early to say hello and set up. I am unable to tutor past our agreed end time as this has a knock-on effect on my other students. If a student should arrive later than their allocated time, the session will still end at the pre-agreed time and usual charges will apply.
Each session will include 10 minutes of revision time and 40 minutes of teaching time.
I am able to offer shorter, discounted sessions for siblings who are tutored back-to-back – please do ask if this is something you are interested in.
Payment
Payment options are:
- Book a block of sessions and pay for them all upfront.
- Pay per month, upfront
- Pay as you go, at the end of each session
Payment Types:
- Bank transfer payment, block payment upfront
- Cash payment on the day
- Bank transfer payment within 48 hours of each lesson.
Failure to pay will result in tutoring sessions being paused. Future tutoring sessions will not commence until the invoice has been paid in full.
I offer a 30-minute complimentary trial session, for each client, prior to upfront block bookings.
Cancellation
The tutoring agreement may be terminated at any time, by any party. I will do my best to give a half term’s notice should I need to end the tutoring agreement. If you have block paid in advance and the tutoring agreement is terminated by either party, I will refund any unused lessons.
Both parties reserve the right to cancel or move sessions, with advance notice, due to illness or prebooked holidays. If you need to cancel or move a session, then please contact me (preferably with 24 hours notice) by any of the following methods:

If a student fails to arrive for a session without prior notification, then the full amount will be payable. Tutoring will not continue until this fee has been paid in full. If you have paid in advance, and need to cancel a session due to extenuating circumstances, I will try to reschedule the session or, if this is not achievable, refund the money.
Damages
The parent/guardian is responsible for any damage caused by the child and shall be liable to pay the full cost of repair and/or replacement of any equipment or furnishings damaged beyond repair with reference to new equipment of the same or nearest available specification.
I will do my utmost to help your child succeed but please note that LB Home Tutoring cannot be held responsible for grades which do not meet the student’s or parents’ expectations.
